Use the Check for Updates menu option to upgrade to newer versions of the chords dictionary and of the this User Manual.  Both are periodically revised and enhanced.

We receive questions from our community which eventually find their way into the FAQ section of the manual.

We are also alerted of chords or of new chord synonyms that we might have missed.  These find their way into the chords dictionary.  So checking periodically for updates is a good thing.

Updating to newer versions of the chords dictionary and of the manual is only possible from within registered versions of FastChords itself.  These newer versions cannot be downloaded from our site.

You obviously need to be online to check for updates.  The only data sent from your computer to our servers is the version of the program you now have, the version of the chords dictionary, the version of the  manual, and your registration key, encrypted.  Nothing else.
