Adding Chords to the Chord Table

The chord table is where the chords of a song are saved, one after the other.  This is simply done by clicking on the Add button after a chord is displayed on the keyboard.

Actually, the Add button adds the entire keyboard to the chord table, whether it contains a "known" chord or not.

As soon as a chord is added to the chord table, the table appears on the screen:

If all the chords of the song of the previous section were added to the chord table, the chord table would look like this:

Depending on the preferences settings, the keyboard may clear and the calculator may reset after adding a chord to the chord table.

Often, just printing the chords of a song is what you want, and it's pretty easy,  just click on the Print menu option.   But with FastChords you can also enter both chords and melody lines, and for that you need to know about the modes of the program and how to switch from one to the another. That's the subject of the next topic.

Chords are added with a default rhythmic value of a quarter note.  See Recording And Playing.
