Step 3:  Enter the Rhythm

Top  Previous  Next

The last step of the three-steps recommended way to enter full songs is entering the rhythmic values.  This is done entirely in the Player mode beginning again with the first note of the song.

Review the Working with the Player topics on Entering Rhythmic Values for Notes and Entering Rhythmic Values for Rests plus the special cases for ties and triplets..  In particular pay attention to the way to simultaneously set the rhythmic value of a note or rest and advance to the next chord in the chords table.  This way is repeated below:

When entering rhythmic values for a group of chords in the chords  table (chords that may or may not contain melody notes), clicking on the currently selected rhythmic value for notes sets the rhythmic value for the current chord to that value and advances to the next chord in the chords table.

clicking on the currently selected rhythmic value for rests sets the rhythmic value for the current chord to that value and advances to the next chord in the chords table.

Beginning with this:

When you are all done entering rhythmic values you'll have completed entering your entire song:

1443_1

Which you can now play in its entirety with the player buttons.
