Why use keyboards with 72 keys.

Full piano keyboards have 88 keys.  FastChords uses only 72 keys to improve the visual presentation of chords.  If it were to use 88 keys, the chords would appear too small on the screen.  Fewer than 72 keys, on the other hand, would impede features such as chord inversion and optimization.  Therefore 72 keys seem like a good compromise.
