Use the buttons to add, insert or copy the current status of the keyboard to the chord table.  Use the del button to delete the current chord.

The contents of the chord table and the recorded midi messages in memory are not related.  You could just as easily have one song in the chord table and record a completely different midi performance.  See Midi and the Player.
